PSAT PSAT is sponsored by the College
Board. Schools must obtain a Level II code directly from the College Board in
order to administer any of their exams (including SAT, PSAT, and AP). Call Code
Control to obtain a school code application. 609-771-7091. Once you are set up
with a school code contact the PSAT Coordinator Customer Care at 888-477-7728. They
will provide you with an Access Code to order your tests. High-achieving students in the 8th
& 11th grades are encouraged to take the PSAT for identification as a Junior
Scholar (gr. 8) or National Merit Scholar (gr. 11.) Students in other grades may also take the
PSAT but will not be eligible for the scholar programs. The Office of Assessment
(SCDE) will reimburse schools who administer the PSAT (or Pre-SAT or ACT Aspire) to one administration to 10th grade students. For Details on PSAT ordering and other resources see SC Dept. of Ed PSAT page.
